A Horse is a Horse, and More
It is time to lend a helping hand.
The Special Equestrians of the Treasure Coast (SETC) has been providing therapeutic horseback riding to special needs children and adults throughout the community for many years. The SETC has benefited riders that suffer from autism, brain injury, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, genetic syndrome with learning disabilities, mental retardation, schizophrenia, stroke, amongst others. This program is a wonderful program that our community offers. It should receive much praise.
If you too would like to make a difference in these children and adults lives, you can volunteer by calling Vickie Penly at 772/ 562-7603. If volunteering is not for you, you can help by donating to the Special Equestrians. They have a wish list with things on it including new English saddles, a manure spreader, and wood shavings for the stalls. For more information visit the SETC website.

What a great idea to help special needs children. The idea of having horseback riding aid in the recovery of individuals who are suffering is spectacular! Is this event held in Sebastian or somewhere else in Florida? Where ever it is, Good Luck in this wonderful endeavor.
