Get Fit At Home - Home Fitness To Exhibit!
Mobile one-to-one fitness company Get Fit At Home will be exhibiting at The Indian River Chamber Of Commerce’s Lifestyle & Wellness Expo at Indian River Mall on Saturday, October 4. Get Fit At Home specializes in weight loss and personal fitness by sending qualified and insured personal trainers and fitness professionals into the home.
With over 20,000 visitors, the yearly business and lifestyle expo has become a regularly scheduled event by the local Chamber of Commerce. Open from 10 am to 4 pm at the Indian River Mall on October 4, the Expo sees an enormous footfall and is an excellent way to get a business launched and publicized in the local area.
“We thought it would be a good way to get our mission out to the local community since we don’t really have a storefront other than the internet and advertising,” says Ed Shanaphy, president and owner of Get Fit At Home. With over 25 personal trainers, yoga instructors, Pilates teachers and martial arts professionals, Get Fit At Home is growing rapidly not only in Florida’s Treasure Coast, but also in New York City, Westchester County, NY and the entire East Coast of Florida.
“We look to save our clients both time and money. Time in that there is no travel time for our clients as we train them in their homes or housing development’s fitness centres, and money in that they have no travel costs or gym membership costs,” says Sophie Bentham Wood, Communications Manager of the growing fitness site which gets over 10,000 visits a month.
Shanaphy is no stranger to advertising, having run a marketing and advertising firm in London, England for 17 years. Bentham Wood hails from a public relations sports marketing background, where she worked with David Beckham, Tiger Woods and Roger Federer among many other famous celebrities in the sporting world. Some of the firms she boasts having worked as head of public relations are Adidas, Gillette, and BMW Oracle Racing. The two professionals were hand-picked to launch the business here in Vero aimed to launch nationally within 5 years.
“We are excited to be a part of Vero Beach’s business community and to have our national office located right here in The Treasure Coast,” says Shanaphy, who spent a year growing up in Jupiter, FL when he was in elementary school and is happy to return to the area for business purposes. “I hate to think about how long ago it was that I was last in this area and Florida has changed so much, but it is good to be back,” he says.
